A Model of New Design

A Model of New Design

Eberhard Horn | Prime Estates GmbH has developed the site located at the end of the tracks at Bad Soden railway station for the Messer Group and 20townhouses GmbH and is presenting the models.

The designs for the new corporate headquarters of the industrial gas manufacturer Messer and 20 townhouses in Bad Soden are taking shape: in order to visualise the overall plan in 3D, the investors – Eberhard Horn, Eberhard Horn | Prime Estates GmbH, and Stefan Messer, owner and CEO of the Messer Group – had models made of the planned buildings. These models illustrate that the site in Bad Soden satisfies all requirements for the envisaged project. The profile for the site which needed to be acquired had already been clearly defined by Stefan Messer in 2006: Eberhard Horn was charged with the task of finding an attractive inner-city location – and not in one of the numerous industrial estates.

The different purposes for which the new buildings will be used and the existing variety of structures should guarantee the required vitality. In addition to the five-storey main administration building with approx. 4,000 square metres of rental space, the company’s own Event Centre with a usable area of approx. 1,000 square metres will be constructed to house events and exhibitions. Among other things, Messer plans to exhibit a historic production plant for oxygen and nitrogen: an air separation plant. The historic station building in Bad Soden has been integrated into the planning and will in future be used as a staff restaurant.

Modern concept for 20 townhouses

20 townhouses, each offering 200 square metres of living space, will be built along Salinenstrasse, opposite the Neuer Kurpark. The three- to four-storey townhouses are designed for individual families. They will include garage space, and each will be located on its own plot of land. “Individualised façades, rooms flooded with light, select materials and healthy living while providing the highest standards in terms of architecture and design form the basis for a modern living concept,” says Eberhard Horn of his designs. The terrace on the top floor will provide a view both of the Hochtaunus natural park and of the Neuer Kurpark in Bad Soden. Details of the design of the houses will be discussed with each individual purchaser. Numerous floor plan variations are available which also take individual wishes into account, for example an open fire or even integrated lifts.

The entire site will be heated by a combined heat and power unit. This will significantly reduce the additional costs. In conjunction with this building plan, the town of Bad Soden plans to redesign Salinenstrasse as a traffic-calmed zone planted with the finest trees and plants.

Those who are interested can contact Prime Estates GmbH in Königstein, the company which is managing the project development, architecture, implementation and direct marketing of the 20 townhouses.
