Pelletizing of Ice Cream Shots
Process description
For the production of so-called ice cream "shots", the ice cream mix is dropped into liquid nitrogen. The drops freeze to ice pellets, which are then packaged and stored.
Gas application
Liquid nitrogen for the production of ice cream "shots".
Advantages:
- Very high freezing capacity
- High product quality
- Low nitrogen consumption through efficient utilisation of cooling energy
- Long machine operating times – continuous operation possible
Messer solution
Messer supplies Cryogen-Rapid Pelletizers adapted to the needs of ice cream production. The first large-scale machine of this type, with a capacity of 1500 kg shots per hour, comes from Messer. Continuous operation of one week, around the clock, is possible with appropriate equipment and handling.
