Christmas market in unique setting again

The Bad Soden- based family concern Messer is holding its third Christmas market at the town’s historic railway station and all members of the public are invited to visit it. On 29 and 30 November from 4 pm to 9 pm, visitors to the market on the Messer-Platz square will have the opportunity to purchase arts and crafts, home accessories, fashionwear and much more for the cold season. The unique historic setting is the perfect place to linger for a while and try the different culinary specialities that will be on offer. The proceeds from Messer’s Christmas market stalls will be donated to “Hilfe für krebskranke Kinder Frankfurt e.V.”, a Frankfurt-based organisation that helps children with cancer.

At the 4 pm opening of the Christmas market on Wednesday 29 November 2017, Children from the Max Baginski, Sankt Katharina and Am Hübenbusch daycare centres will decorate three Christmas trees with decorations that they have made themselves. At 5:30 pm on Thursday, the TheoChor, a children’s choir from the local primary school “Theodor-Heuss-Grundschule”, will sing Christmas carols in the glow of the Christmas tree lights to ensure an appropriate festive atmosphere as the market draws to a close.

The booths on the Messer-Platz square will feature, among others, the Bücherstube Gaab, a local bookshop, Claudia Häcker Interior, confectioners Genusskontor Bad Soden, the Blooming Italy boutique, the Pompydu jewellery label, Bad Soden Town Council and the Slovenian Cultural Association. The aroma of bratwurst sausages will attract visitors to the Messer booths. Besides the bratwurst stall on the Messer-Platz square, Messer employees will be selling mulled wine, sparkling wine and cakes for a good cause at Bad Soden’s historic railway station.
